Who is it for?

Valuing and understanding learning disability and autism: an introduction, is a course suitable for anyone who is new to the world of learning disabilities and autism.  

How will I learn?

Equivalent to a half day classroom training, this is a blended learning programme, consisting of a short e-learning course followed by a small group tutorial.

The course has been entirely coproduced with people with lived experience and contains the voice of lived experience throughout, including a co-delivered tutorial with individuals with lived experience.

• Inequalities and the history of learning disabilities and autism 
• Introduction to good communication 
• Reasonable adjustments 

The course meets the criteria of Tier 1 for the Core Capabilities Framework.
