Qualification summary

The BTEC Bild Diploma in Practice Leadership for Supporting Good Health and Wellbeing prepares social care practitioners to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of those they support.

This qualification focuses on tackling health inequalities, improving access to care, and promoting wellbeing across all stages of life. Learners will explore the effects of social and systemic barriers, build strategies for person-centred practice, and strengthen their understanding of essential legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding requirements. They will also develop skills in recognising health deterioration, managing long-term conditions, and supporting life transitions and end-of-life care.

With a strong emphasis on leadership, service improvement, and collaborative working, the programme ensures that support for health and wellbeing is inclusive, proactive, and responsive to individual’s needs.

Using the Bild framework, learners will learn how capable, supportive environments contribute to better health outcomes. The course nurtures practice leadership skills and empowers learners to coproduce solutions with people with lived experience, driving meaningful change across services.
