Programme details

This one-day course introduces what Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is, what it involves and how it should feel for people who are being supported.

We will share some tools that will also help you see if good PBS is being done with you.

Who the programme is for

This course has been designed for people with learning disability or lived experience.  You will not need reading and writing skills to attend, but an understanding of pictures and answering simple questions will be needed.

What the programme involves

The day takes place 10am-4pm but can be shortened or broken into short chunks to suit the needs of the group.

Please contact the team in advance to discuss best options for your attendees.

Learning outcomes

The course will cover these 4 areas:

    1. Quality of life and rights
    2. All behaviour is communication
    3. Capable environments – “safe places; kind people”
    4. Choices
