Membership Plus: new improvement partner programme underway

Our new improvement partner programme, Membership Plus, gets underway with the Witherslack Group becoming the first member

Bild has supported organisations for decades via our membership scheme, offering advice, resources, consultancy support and discounted training to improve the skills of their workforce and drive tangible cultural change.

We’re now offering the opportunity for organisations who are passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities to take their workforce development to the next stage with Membership Plus. This level of the membership scheme provides support with monitoring and maintaining the gains achieved by translating training into practice, whilst continuing to grow and develop. Organisational eligibility to Membership Plus is not linked to current organisational practice, nor is it an endorsement of an organisation by Bild, rather it demonstrates a commitment to work together towards continuous improvement. There are four stages to becoming an improvement partner with Membership Plus.

Leading the way with their commitment to workforce development is the Witherslack Group, who we are delighted to welcome as the first continuing improvement partner on the Membership Plus programme. The Witherslack Group provides specialist education and care for young people with special educational needs and has been working with Bild since 2016 accessing PBS training and support.

Elaine Capstick, Associate Director (Safeguarding, Behaviour and Inclusion) commented:

“As a Group, we continually strive to develop our practice in order to improve outcomes for our children and young people, and this ethos has motivated us in continuing our relationship with Bild. Since our initial assessment in 2016, we have solidified our commitment to implementing Positive Behaviour Support, training over 50 PBS coaches to develop capable environments in our provisions. We are committed to utilising the support from Bild, as they are the benchmark of quality in regard to improving quality of life.’
