Bild welcomes new Chair of Trustees

We are delighted to announce that Fiona Ritchie will be joining us as Bild’s new Chair of Trustees. Fiona worked for the Care Quality Commission and NHS before becoming Managing Director of Mental Health and Learning disabilities at Turning Point. Fiona currently works as a Health and Social Care Consultant and has an interim role at NHSE.

Bild CEO, Ben Higgins said “I am delighted that Fiona will be our new Chair of Trustees. Fiona comes with a wealth of experience across health and social care and is utterly committed to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities. I am really looking forward to working with Fiona and maximise Bild’s impact in improving people lives. I would like to thank Alan Jefferson for all his support for Bild over the years”

Fiona said “I am delighted to take on the role as Chair for BILD. I know we will be able to build on the excellent work that Alan has done over the years. Now is the time for BILD to work in partnership with families and people with learning disabilities to truly shake things up and change the power dynamics − bring it on!”

Fiona’s role will be confirmed once formally ratified at the Bild AGM in September.
