Good Lives – Good Health: Share your thoughts about good health for people with learning disabilities

Bild are working with Learning Disability England to write a new chapter of the Good Lives Framework

 

 

 

 

The Good Lives Framework is a document that explains what people with learning disabilities need to live good lives.

 

 

 

 

 

The new chapter of the Good Lives Framework that Bild will help write will be about making sure people with learning disabilities can stay healthy. It is called Good Health.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We want to make sure we are listening to important people who know about good health for people with learning disabilities and the difficulties they have staying healthy.

 

 

 

 

We have been talking to people with learning disabilities who can tell us about their experiences with health services.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have also been talking to people who work in health and social care to learn about the problems they can see in how people with learning disabilities get healthcare.

 

 

 

 

 

We have been asking people to fill out a survey to tell us their thoughts. You can look at this survey here.

 

 

 

 

 

To make sure that everyone has a chance to share all their thoughts about good health for people with learning disabilities, we are going to have some online meetings to talk about it.

 

 

 

 

 

There will be two meetings, one for people with learning disabilities and one for professionals

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The meeting for people with learning disabilities will be on 23 January 2024 from 12pm till 1:30pm. You can register to be part of this meeting here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The meeting for professionals in health and social care who work with people with learning disabilities will be on 30 January 2024 from 11am till 12:30pm. You can register to be part of this meeting here.
