Bild CAPBS seeks freelance copyeditor

Bild’s Centre for Advancement of PBS (CAPBS) is seeking a freelance copyeditor for the International Journal of Positive Behavioural Support (IJPBS) to join us on a retainer contract.

The International Journal of Positive Behavioural Support is a peer-reviewed publication that aims to:

• define and promote good practice in relation to the use of PBS
• add to the PBS evidence base
• demonstrate how PBS interventions can support people by improving quality of life and result in reductions in the use of restrictive procedures (such as physical intervention, seclusion and as required medication)
• bridge the gap between academic research and service practice

The journal publishes two online issues each year, in Spring and Autumn. Each issue consists of an editorial, main research papers, practice papers, brief reports, news and book reviews.

We welcome brief tenders from copyeditors with experience of academic publishing.

The copyeditor will be responsible for ensuring text throughout the journal is clear, consistent with Bild’s house style and complete, ready for online publishing. The copyeditor will work closely with the Bild’s friendly communications team.
