We are delighted to share that this year’s International Positive Behaviour Support Conference will take place from 10-12th May in Newcastle and online.
This year’s event offers a varied, thought-provoking programme across three days, incorporating our pre-conference events on Wednesday 10th May and our main conference programme taking place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th May.

The theme for this year’s conference is Kindness, Connection and Coproduction: Looking for the heart and soul of PBS. People with lived experience and their families tell us this is what is most important to them. Finding out what makes people happy and communicating on a human level are essential if we are truly to improve people’s quality of life. We hope you will join us for three days of discussion, learning and improving practice as we look for the heart and soul of PBS.
The main conference programme will include:
- International speakers and facilitators, including experts by experience and by profession, sharing ideas to improve practice
- A focus of the key themes of Practice Leadership; Quality of Support and Relationships; Ethical Working and True Coproduction.
- Exploration of the four essential components at the heart of PBS: being values-led; promoting quality of life; understanding behaviour, and systems change.
- A particular focus on tier one – getting things right for people and developing capable environments where people can thrive.
- An update on how colleagues have developed coproductive practice in PBS since the 2022 conference.
This year’s conference will focus on kindness, connection and coproduction in PBS, and we look forward to seeing this embodied throughout the three-day event.
