Defining Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for UK schools – book your place at our free webinar next month!

Our next UK PBS Alliance Schools Community of Practice webinar on December 8th will focus on the refined definition of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), its scope in the UK, and the need for a distinctive model in schools.

Dr Nick Gore, Senior Lecturer in Learning Disability at the Tizard Centre (University of Kent) will explore the refining and updating of a definition and scope for PBS following his presentation at Bild’s recent International PBS Conference in Glasgow.

Dr Gore will explain the update, exploring its differences and similarities to the PBIS (Schoolwide PBS) tiered model with attendees. In addition, during an exclusive event discussion, we will also look at how the definition can be made more accessible to school staff.

This webinar will be of interest to staff working in UK schools, allied health professionals, and family members and parents of children with learning disabilities and/or autism. It will be of additional interest to those who want to find out more about how PBS can work in their setting.

Following the keynote presentation, there will be a further opportunity for small group discussions in virtual breakout rooms, before a final Q&A session with Dr Gore.
